Opening Ceremony of World Cup 2015 launched in Christchurch

Christchurch, Feb 12: Cricket World Cup 2015 opened today with the cricket legends, thousands of fans, dancers and entertainers rocked the stage. The vibrant ceremony witnessed the glimpse of several celebrities, who were honoured to be part of the event.

This is the first world cup in New Zealand and Australia in 23 years.

International Cricket Council chief executive David Richardson unveiled the Cricket World Cup trophy. He said that the trophy was a symbol of the values of excellence, integrity and inclusion of the ICC.

The first opening match will be played between New Zealand and Sri Lanka at Hagley Oval on Saturday.
