Villager killed by Maoists in Angul

Angul, Feb 13: The red rebels spread fear among the locals in Angul district killing a villager in Patamunda village under Pallahara police station.

According to media reports, the victim Samuel Bodra was hacked to death by the Maoists on Thursday night. The Maoists killed him brutally with an axe. His hands and legs were tied up with a rope.

His body was found on the outskirts of the village on Friday morning. Police recovered the Maoist posters near the body.

The brutal killing was carried out by the Kalinganagar-Ghumusar Divisional Committee of the CPI Maoists.

Following the incident, combing operation has been launched in the forest area to hunt Maoists.
