Odisha Assembly: House adjourned till Monday as Ruckus continues


Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: The House of the Odisha Assembly was adjourned till Monday after the opposition Congress stalled the House alleging the government of discrimination among the candidates in the recruitment for the posts class 4 employees in the backward KBK districts in the state.

The Congress MLAs rushed into the well of the House over the issue following which Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the House till Monday.

The issue was raised first during the zero hour by the Congress chief whip Tara Bahinipati, who alleged that the ruling BJD is making regional discrimination in the KBK districts in the appointment of the candidates.

Supporting to Bahinipati, BJP members also created ruckus for which the House was adjourned thrice first at 12.20 pm for 20 minutes, then another 20 minutes and later till 3 pm.

When the House reassembles the noisy scene continued. Speaker Pujari adjourned it till Monday.
