Kejriwal sworn-in as Delhi CM, Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Tomar in Cabinet

New Delhi, Feb 14: The Aam Aadmi returned to power with the landslide victory in the recent Assembly polls in Delhi projecting Arvind Kejriwal as its leader, who talks about uprooting corruption and to provide good governance in the national capital. Today, history repeated and Kejriwal again became the chief minister of Delhi with people's big thumb.

Kejriwal took the oath as the Delhi CM at Ramlila Maidan. Lieutenant Governor Dr Najeeb Jung administered oath of office to AAP cabinet. Manish Sisodia, the second man after Kejriwal in the party, was also sworn in as the cabinet minister.

Along with Kejriwal, and Sisodia, the LG administered oath of office to Sandeep Kumar, Satyendra Jain, Gopal Rai, and Jitender Singh Tomar as the cabinet ministers.

Soon after the oath taking process, Kejriwal thanked the people of Delhi for the huge mandate to his party AAP. He also gave a big thank to them for attending his swearing-in ceremony at the historical ground.

"Exactly one year ago on this day I had resigned. Now once again AAP formed the government. I did not know Delhi public loved me so much and gave me 67 seats", he said.

Addressing Delhities, he said, "God has sent a message that it wants to us to do some big work. Human gets arrogant with such big victory, then nothing is left. I appeal to all my ministers, MLAs, and volunteers not to be arrogant". "We paid for our arrogance in Lok Sabha polls and god punished us", he revealed.

He refuted all rumours that AAP will contest elections in other states as well. He said that he will be in Delhi for next five years and work for it with honesty and dedication.

Recalling the moment with his mentor Anna Hazare, he said, "We used to call for fight against corruption. During 49-day of the AAP government in Delhi last year, the corruption, bribery did not take its wings to spread".

He vowed to make Delhi to make country's first corruption-free state. He appealed to the public to start sting operation if anyone asks for bribe.

He announced reviving of the helpline number for the anti-corruption activity. "If someone asks for bribe, do not refuse to give and record the entire episode on your phone and bring it to me. We will take action against the accused. The phone line will be activated soon".

He said that the party will pass the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi House at the earliest. The party will work 24 hours for people.

Reacting to the church attacks, he said that Delhi is a peaceful state and such thing will not be tolerated.

Talking about his meeting with PM Narendra Modi, Kejriwal said that the PM has given him assurance of granting full statehood for Delhi.

He assured the traders and businessmen that the government will not harass them, but they should pay full tax and freely operate the business in the national capital.

He said that he will remove the VIP culture from Delhi. He said, "In many foreign countries even PM are seen standing in front of the bus stop".

Talking about Kiran Bedi, the lost solder in BJP's team, he praised her and said she is like his elder sister and he said that his government will consult her as she had vast administrative experience.
