Kejriwal admits AAP lost Lok Sabha Polls due to Arrogance

New Delhi, Feb 14: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday, admitted the mistakes for which the party had to pay prices in the last year Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing the gathering at the swearing-in ceremony, the new CM appealed to his Ministers, MLAs and volunteers not to be arrogant as the party suffered in the Lok Sabha polls due to this reason.

He said that the arrogance will take the party to degradation and people will not trust any more. God had punished them for this mistake in the Lok Sabha polls and this should not be repeated, he said.

It can be noted that one year ago on this day on Feb 14, 2014, Kejriwal had resigned from CM and moved to Varanasi to contest the Lok Sabha polls challenging Narendra Modi. However, He had to face a huge loss as he lost the seat and his party could not win a single Lok Sabha seat from Delhi too. All the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi were won by the BJP candidates. The party managed to get only two seats from Punjab in the polls last year.
