IPL 2015: Yuvraj to play for Delhi Daredevils, bought for Rs 16 Crore

Bengaluru, Feb 16: Cricket Yuvraj Singh may have been out of Indian team for the ongoing world cup clash, but he remained hot for the upcoming eighth season of IPL matches. He was purchased by the Delhi Daredevils for a whopping Rs. 16 crore in the auction that began on Monday.

Last time, the batsman was bought for Rs 14 crore by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). This was the most expensive in the auction.

The Delhi Daredevils also bought Sri Lankan player Angelo Mathews for Rs. 7.50 crore.

While Murali Vijay was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 3 crore, there was no taker for South African opener Hashim Amla in the bidding that is underway. He may be bought later.
