Congress, BJP criticise Odisha Budget 2015-16

Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: The opposition parties Congress and BJP criticised the budget 2015-16 after it was presented by Finance Minister Pradip Amat in the House of Odisha Assembly yesterday evening.

While, Congress leader Narasingha Mishra said that nothing new was in the budget, BJP legislature party leader Basant Panda termed it an empty vessel.

The leader of opposition Narasingha Mishra said that nothing was allocated for the social development and economic growth of the backward areas of the state. Talking about the separate agriculture budget, he said that the government is just fooling people in the name of special allocations to some schemes.

However, chief minister Naveen Patnaik termed it as a pro-people budget keeping everyone's interest in the mind. Special priority has been given to agriculture and infrastructure, he said while talking to media.
