6 Dead in Road Mishap in Rayagada

Rayagada, Feb 17: Six people were killed and five others were injured when a truck hit an auto rickshaw near Kotapeta village in Rayagada district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the auto was carrying 11 people from Gadisahkhal village of Kolanara block to Kotapeta village for a wedding ceremony. The truck, which was running very speed, hit the auto killing 6 people including two children on the spot.

The angry villagers blocked the road following the mishap. The injured people were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for the treatment.

The incident was reported just three days after three people were killed in a same manner in the road mishap in Hinjiliwadi area of the district.
