Patna, Feb 20: After tendering resignation as Bihar Chief Minister, Jitan Ram Manjhi addressed the press conference and revealed the reason behind such decision. He said that he and his supported MLAs received threatening calls ahead of the trust vote.
Manjhi blamed the Speaker for not following the traditions of the House. He alleged that Speaker did not allow the secret ballot to function and the seating arrangement was not as per the tradition.
He claimed that he had support of more than 140 MLAs, but he quit as he received threatening calls. Playing a dalit card again, he said that he is from the most backward caste and thus he was the victim and thrown out of the power.
Accusing CM-in waiting Nitish Kumar, Manjhi said that he wanted to control the government, but he refused to be his puppet.
