Construction Labourers to get Pucca House and Pension in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: Two days after online registration was inaugurated in the state capital for the construction labourers working in different states, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik announced a package for them today.

As per the announcement, the construction workers enrolled online will get Rs 1 lakh for brick and cement (pucca) house. The old workers at the age of Rs 60 years will get Rs 500 pension per month under this scheme.

The migrant workers, who are not registered under Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, will get Rs 1 lakh as compensation in case of accidental death during their work.

They will also get Rs 50,000 as treatment cost if they get injured during work outside Odisha.
