New Delhi, Feb 23: Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare targeted the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by staging a two-day protest against land acquisition ordinance.
The veteran arrived in the national capital on Monday and sat on protest at Jantar Mantar to fight for the poor farmers. He is likely to be backed by several farmer organisations and social activists like Medha Patkar in his protest.
The Gandhian, who had stormed the national capital in 2011 for demanding the Jan Lokpal bill to minimise corruption and that revolution was believed to have sowed seed against Congress government at the Centre, now targets Modi.
With this protest, the budget session that began today is going to be stormy.
The AAP has also extended its support to Anna for his movement for the farmers. He alleged that the new ordinance brought by the Modi government is anti-farmer.
