BJP, PDP reach Agreement, Alliance to form Govt in J&K

New Delhi, Feb 24: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti came up with a formal announcement that both BJP and her party have reached an understanding on the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The leader after meeting BJP chief Amit Shah today said that there will be a great alliance and they will form the government.

However, details will be revealed after she meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

Sources said that both the parties have reached the agreement on the issue of Article 370 and Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). The alliance may form the government on March 1.

According to initial reports, PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed may be sworn-in as the chief minister of the state.
