Power Tariff cut by 50%, 20,000 ltr Water Free for Delhities

New Delhi, Feb 25: After a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal kept his promise to Delhities by slashing power tariff by 50% and announcing to give free water upto 20,000 litre to every household per month.

Addressing a press conference, Manish Sisodia, Delhi Deputy chief minister, said that the power tariff is cut by 50% for the consumption upto 400 units per month, with effect from Sunday.

The government also launched a free water scheme as part of the promises made by the AAP during the poll campaign. This will come into effect from March 1.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Kejriwal.
