Big Relief to Pravat Tripathy as HC grants Him Conditional Bail

Cuttack, March 03: In a huge relief to Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy, the Orissa High Court on Tuesday granted him a conditional bail. The suspended BJD leader has been lodged in Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar since his arrest in connection with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chit fund scam.

He was granted bail on a condition of bail bond of Rs 10 lakh. He was also asked to surrender his passport.

While granting bail to Tripathy, the Court directed him to cooperate with the CBI probe into the case.

Earlier, the court had reserved its hearing on bail plea of the leader on Feb 24. He was arrested on Oct 31, 2014, for his alleged links with AT Group chief Pradeep Sethy, a key player in the chit fund scam.
