Another Swine Flu Death recorded in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, March 03: Another death due to the deadly swine flu was reported in Odisha today. With the latest case, the death toll rose to five in the state.

The victim was a 56-year-old woman. She was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Feb 25. She hails from Aska in Ganjam district. Her condition was critical. She was put on the ventilator after she developed problems in kidney.

According to reports, the woman was affected by the virus during her trip to north India for around one month.

The situation in Odisha seems to be alarming after Rajasthan and Gujarat. More than thousand people have died due to this H1N1 virus in the country so far this year.

Meanwhile, another patient was identified as the H1N1 positive in Odisha taking the total number to 14.
