Uproar in Lok Sabha over Release of Masarat Alam

New Delhi, March 09: The opposition parties created uproar in Lok Sabha on Monday over the issue of release of Masarat Alam, the Jammu and Kashmir separatist leader and the extremist. Taking on the government, Congress demanded a statement from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue.

Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge said that the release of Masarat Alam was a very serious issue.

Congress MP Anand Sharma also raised the matter saying, the way terrorist is being released can not be accepted at all.

BJP MP Venkaiah Naidu admitted that the matter was serious and the Home Minister Rajnath Singh will give explanation in the House.

Since the logjam continued, the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House till 11.30 am.

It can be noted that the Jammu and Kashmir government has submitted a detailed report over the release of Masarat Alam. The minister will brief the government's stand at 12 noon.
