Odia Litterateur Rabindra Praharaj to get Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award

Bhubaneswar, March 09: Veteran litterateur Rabindra Praharaj will receive the prestigious Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for this year.

He was selected for the honour for the novel "Thila Gharara Gelhapua", a translation of Bengali book "Alaler Gharer Dulal", which was authored by the well-known Bengali writer Peary Chand Mitra.

Many translations go into his credit. He is well known for his translation of the book "Thomas Hardynka Galpa Sambhara", a collection of stories by eminent British novelist Thomas Hardy.
