BJD Vs Opposition Members over IIM Odisha

News

Bhubaneswar, March 09: The ruling BJD and opposition parties in Odisha now take on each other over the establishment of proposed IIM in Sambalpur after chief minister Naveen Patnaik recommended the Centre for the set up of premier institute in Western Odisha.

The opposition Congress and BJP alleged the BJD of doing vote bank politics in the name of IIM Odisha. "The government is trying to influence the voters in the town of Western Odisha for the ULB polls", alleged senior Congress leader Suresh Routray.

Defending its stand, Anant Das, the government chief whip, said that the Centre will take the final decision where the IIM will be set up in Odisha. He blamed the Central government for doing the politics over the issue.
