Odisha +2 Science Exam: E-evaluation Process begins

Bhubaneswar, March 10: The process of scanning for e-evaluation of the plus two examinations in the science stream papers began in Odisha today.

As per the government order, five papers of the science stream - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Zoology - will be e-evaluated for the error-free evaluation and tabulation of the exam.

The scanning process began this afternoon at Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies premises after the exam for the papers of mathematics were completed. All the papers have reached the centre through speed post.

Over 45 scanners are there at the centre to complete the process for e-evaluation. The number of the scanners would be increased further. All the examiners have been trained for the e-evaluation this year. The staff having no experience in e-evaluation would also be trained in two days.

After scanning, the soft copies of the papers would be uploaded on the main server. The copies would be sent to the servers at 40 e-evaluation centres online where the chief examiners would download the papers and give them to other examiners following sorting the copies.

Around 4 lakh papers would be e-evaluated this year. The Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) that is conducting the exam has engaged 4000 examiners for the e-evaluation process. The scanning of the papers would be completed within March 25.
