US Diplomat to S Korea released from Hospital after Knife Attack

Seoul, March 10: The US ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert, who was attacked by a man with a sharp knife on March 5 in Seoul, was released today from a hospital after treatment.

Lippert underwent surgery on his cheek. He was attacked with a sharp knife at an art centre in downtown Seoul where he was about to deliver his lecture on the divided Korean countries. He had sustained injuries on his face and wrist.

After releasing from the hospital, the diplomat described the incident as scary. However, he will never stop dealing with the serious issues.
