Test for Recruitment of Constables in Odisha cancelled

Cuttack, March 16: Thousands of candidates applied for the post of constables in Odisha were disappointed yesterday after the authorities cancelled the written test following the question paper leak.

The Odisha crime branch has taken up the matter and will probe the issue.

Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjiv Marik said that there were some reports from several places that the question papers for the written exam were sold. The exam was scheduled to begin at 11 am on March 15.

Following the cancellation of the exam, the candidates, who had reached the exam centre travelling from distance places, were extremely disappointed. Nearly 40,000 candidates had applied for the 1300 constable posts.
