Jagannath Temple Administration Meeting approves Schedule for Nabakalebara

Puri, March 18: The panel meeting of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) approved the schedule and the annual budget of Rs 239 crore for the upcoming Nabakalebara festival.

As per the schedule, the Banajaga yatra will start on March 29. The daitapati will leave Puri on that date, stay at Deuli Mutt on April 2 and reach the Maa Mangala temple in Kakatpur on April 3.

The Brahma paribartan rituals will take place on June 15, the Nabajauban darshan will be on July 17.

The meeting, which was chaired by Puri king Gajapati Dibya Singha Dev, approved the Rs 239 crore budget for the infrastructure development at the temple, facilities for pilgrims and the servitors during Rath Yatra.

The SJTA chief administrator Suresh Mohapatra and daitapati were present at the meeting today.
