Nagaland Govt recommends CBI Probe into Dimapur Lynching Case

Kohima, March 19: The Nagaland Government has recommended CBI inquiry into the barbaric incident in which a rape accused was lynched by a mob in Dimapur. The decision was taken by the cabinet at a meeting chaired by chief minister TR Zeliang.

The entire nation was shocked to see the way the mob killed a rape accused after breaking into Dimapur jail on March 5. The crowd dragged the man out of jail, paraded him naked on the streets and lynched him.

He was accused of raping a college girl in Dimapur on Feb 24. The instant justice by the mob sent out a negative message to the world.

Police have arrested 55 people so far in connection with the lynching case.
