Janta Express derails in Rae Bareli, 15 die

Rae Bareli, March 20: At least 15 people have been killed and more than 20 were injured after the Dehradun-Varanasi Janta Express derailed at a town in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh.

Four coaches of train derailed in Bachhrawan after locomotive brakes of the train failed.  One bogie even rammed into the other.

Many passengers are reported to be stuck inside the bogies. Railway officials have called for cutters to detach the bogies and rescue passengers.
