Police raid Illegal Arms Factory in Purulia, Arrest Six

Purulia (WB), March 21: The nation has not forgotten the 1995 Purulia arms drop case yet that now with police busting an illegal arms factory in district's Raghunathpur the old picture has become fresh in people's mind.

Acting on a tip off, Police raided an illegal arms factory in Raghunathpur in West Bengal. Six people have been arrested. Police are investigating the case and also trying to find the names of groups buying weapons from the factory.

"We got a clue that there is a place called Blogdanga under Ragunathpur police station. They have attacked from there. We have recovered some weapons and their parts from there. After investigation we will come to know for how many days it was going on. Some investigation is still left; I will let you know other details after that", said Rupesh Kumar, SP, Purulia.
