Aadim Vichar bags Best Odia Film Award at 62nd National Film Award

Bhubaneswar, March 25: Veteran filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra's long effort in the cine industry was finally recognised at the national level as his film "Aadim Vichar" bagged the best Odia film award in the regional category at the National Film Awards yesterday.

Sabyasachi Mohapatra has won many international awards, but had never received any national award. His film won the national award for Odisha after a long gap. Earlier, "Jianta Bhuta" directed by Prashant Nanda had bagged the national award in 2008.

"Aadim Vichar" is a sequel of "Sala Budha". The film is based on lives of the Kondha tribal in Odisha. This was made on the short story of Kapileswar Prasad Mohapatra, father of Sabyasachi Mohapatra. This tells a story of an old tribal, who turns rebel after he was charged in a case.
