CBI gives Clean Chit to Jagdish Tytler in 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots Case

New Delhi, March 25: The CBI has given a clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case due to lack of evidence. The investigation will be closed and the FIR against will be cancelled in the case.

The Congress welcomed the CBI's verdict on its strong leader Tytler.

However, Prosecution Lawyer H S Phoolka opposed the move. He slammed the CBI for secretly giving clean chit to Tytler and closing the matter. He said that the Akali and Gurudwara committee were aware of the decision, which was leaked in media a week before.

The CBI verdict surprises the eyewitnesses of the mega riots. Tytler was allegedly involved in the case.
