Ruckus continues in Odisha Assembly over Power Tariff Hike

Bhubaneswar, March 26: The chaotic scene was witnessed in Odisha assembly over the power tariff hike for the third consecutive day. The opposition members stalled the proceedings demanding rollback of the decision for the interest of lakhs of consumers in the state.

The opposition members rushed to the well of the House shouting slogans against the decision announced by the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) on Tuesday. The House was adjourned thrice today following the uproar over the issue.

The Speaker was forced to call the Business Advisory Committee to find a solution for the logjam in the House.
