Fans burn Effigy of Kohli, Anushka after WC Semi-final Loss

Kanpur, March 27: Being angry with Team India on the defeat in the semi-final of the world cup 2015 in Sydney, the fans expressed their outrage against Virat Kohli, who scored only 1 against Australia in the yesterday match.

Fans in Kanpur blamed Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma for the poor performance of Virat Kohli in the World Cup and his one run dismissal in the semis against Australia.

They burnt the effigies of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli shouting the slogans "Anushka Sharma murdabad and Virat Kohli murdabad" in the background.

"We have burnt the effigy of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. The reason behind is that the cricket board had said that no wife or girlfriend would go with them else their whole attention would be with them and what will they play for India?", said a cricket fan

The feelings were also seen on the social media blaming Anushka for the disappointing defeat.
