348 Indian Nationals evacuated from Yemen

New Delhi, April 01: Around 348 Indian nationals in war-torn Yemen were evacuated after Saudi Arabia launched military operations against the Shia Houthi rebels. They will reach their homes soon India.

The Indians staying in Yemen were brought by a naval ship from Aden. They are on their way to Djibouti from where they will be flown to their homes in India. Around 4000 Indians are staying in Yemen.

Indian government acted quickly in evacuating its citizens from the war-hit country after the situation worsened following the airstrike launch.

Saudi Arabia carried out the attacks after the rebels captured 21 provinces in the country.
