Uttarakhand Minister’s Pet Calf Missing, Cops engaged in Search Ops

Dehradun, April 03: Like Azam Khan in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand has a similar minister, who engages the entire security forces in search of his pet calf Chulbul Pandey, who has gone missing.

Chulbul Pandey is a household name after Salman Khan's film “Dabangg” hit the silver screens. But these days, another Chulbul Pandey is in the headlines. This is the four legged animal with a long tail. This is a pet of a high profile minister in Uttarakhand.

The Education Minister Naithani is upset as his pet has gone missing and the police have begun search operation to find the pet and please the minister.

Naithani feels that there is a gang involved in taking his pet. "When I used to go for morning walk I saw cattle grazing in fields but after some time they all vanished. I think that there is some gang involved in this and police is looking into the matter. I think they might be killing them and government has taken the matter seriously", Naithani said.

The minister who is said to have a strong political clout now has put the whole police machinery in search of his favourite calf. The calf reportedly went missing from the minister's official residence at Dehradun.  Senior Police officials including the DSP have made many rounds of the house of the minister enquiring about the features of Chulbul Pandey.Photo of Chulbul Pandey has been sent to all the nearby Police stations.

The chief minister meanwhile is giving it the "Save the Cow" twist.

The Government is serious as we need to serve cow and we need to protect them, said Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat.

The incident reminds us about UP Minister Azam Khan, who had put the entire security forces in search of his buffaloes that were stolen. Later, those buffaloes were recovered by the police.

BJP adds a word of caution claiming safety of people should be first priority. Instead of such unnecessary exercises.

"In UP Azam Khan did the same thing and now in Uttarakhand a calf whose name was Chulbul Pandey has gone missing on which he has asked the police department to look into the matter. If minister gave preference to safety of people the law and order would have improved. A dreaded criminal who escaped for police is nowhere to be found. We request minister to look after the safety of people", said BJP Spokesperson Abhimanyu.
