Bengaluru, April 03: The BJP National Executive meeting began here to discuss the key issues and prepare a blueprint to reach out the public delivering good governance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and senior leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi are present at the event.
The two-day meeting holds significance as the BJP emerged as the largest party in the world.
Earlier, the uncertainty remained over the speech by Advani as his name was not among the list of speakers. But, sources said that he may deliver the valedictory address at the meeting.
Key issues including Land Acquisition Bill, expanding the party in the country especially in the southern state, involving party workers in Swacch Bharat Mission campaign, preparation for Bihar Assembly polls are on the agenda of the meeting.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Congress workers are protesting over black money issue outside the venue of the BJP's meeting in Bengauru. They showed the fake cheque of Rs 15 lakh indicating the promises that PM Modi had made during the Lok Sabha polls campaign last year. He had told that every Indian would get Rs 15 lakh in the bank account after the black money stashed abroad is brought back.
Several Congress workers were detained by the Bengaluru police for holding protests.
