Student Congress President sent to Jail for Hurling Egg at Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar, April 03: Student Congress President Satyajit Patnaik was sent to judicial custody on Friday for his alleged involvement in egg hurling at Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik's convoy.

He was arrested last night from Laxmi Sagar area in the state capital. He will be lodged in Jharpada jail.

Earlier, 15 others of Odisha youth Congress were arrested in connection with the egg hurling case.

The Indian Youth Congress activists had thrown the eggs at the convoy of the CM when he was on his way to Vani Vihar University to attend the annual function on Feb 19. The youth congress workers stormed the area by breaching the security cordon and hurled eggs and waved black flags at Naveen Patnaik near Keshari talkies.
