Ranpur NAC Polls rescheduled on May 5

Bhubaneswar, April 03: The Notified Area Council (NAC) polls for Ranpur has been deferred and rescheduled on May 5. As per the notification issued by the State Election Commission (SEC), the nomination papers will be filed between April 13 and 18.

The nomination papers will be verified on April 20. The last date for withdrawal of the nomination is April 23. The polls will be held on May 5 and the votes will be counted on May 6.

The SEC has asked the Nayagarh district collector to submit a report.

However, the SEC did not reveal the reason for the postponement of the polls in Ranpur.

It can be noted that the NAC poll, which was about to be held on April 7, was postponed after the collector reported to the SEC that the reservation seat was published by the Polling Officer of the district.
