Four Arrested after Smriti spots Hidden Camera in Goa Showroom

Panaji, April 04: Four people were arrested after Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani spotted a hidden camera in a trial room of FabIndia garments showroom yesterday afternoon in Goa. They were produced before the Mapusa court today. Again they will appear before the court in the afternoon.

The incident raised the questions on safety and modesty of women, who are shopping in the malls and using changing rooms there.

In argument, the lawyer of the accused said that the hidden camera was placed outside the trail room. He said that it was a security camera not the spy camera that the minister spotted in the showroom.

According to reports, the hidden camera was placed in such a manner that it would shoot only the above part of the body of women that is from head to waist.

Smriti caught the camera in the showroom and told her husband about it. She was on a visit to Goa with her family.
