CBI refuses to take Over IAS officer DK Ravi Death case

Bengaluru, April 06: The CBI on Monday refused to probe Karnataka IAS officer DK Ravi death case objecting the conditions set by the state government. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will send a request to the central agency again.

CBI said that it cannot investigate the mysterious death case of the top IAS officer as the state government has given a deadline of three months to complete the probe.

The Karnataka bureaucrat was found hanging from a ceiling at his apartment on March 16 in Bengaluru. This had sparked a state-wide protest demanding CBI probe and justice to the family, who alleged that the sand mafia was behind the death of Ravi. They said that Ravi was murdered, while police termed it as suicide case.
