PM Modi announces Compensation for Farmers affected by Unseasonal Rains

New Delhi, April 08: While Congress is playing politics on farmers issues, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced compensation for the farmers who suffered crop loss due to unseasonal rains and hail storm in the recent months.

Addressing the event during the launch of MUDRA Bank in the national capital today, Modi said that the farmers with the 33% crop loss will be given compensation, which was earlier for 50% crop damage.

He asked all the banks to change the loan policies for the affected farmers and directed the insurance companies to settle their claims.

Modi said that the government has decided to give higher compensation for the farmers. The amount of compensation has been increased to 1.5 times.
