PM Modi to leave for Europe Tour, Trade, Economic Ties to be on Focus

New Delhi, April 09: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Europe and Canada tour this evening to push "Make in India" programme to invite more foreign investments in India.

During his eight-day trip, he will visit France, Germany and Canada to boost the trade and economic ties in the sectors like railways and defence. He will arrive in Paris late this evening.

His trip will focus on the programmes under which more jobs will be created for Indian youths.

In France, Modi will meet eminent personalities including former French president Nicolas Sarkozy. He will fly to Germany on April 12 to attend the Hannover Messe fair that has India as the partner country. He has the programme to unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the City Hall in Hannover.

Modi is scheduled to reach Canada on April 14. This will be the maiden visit to Canada where for the first time an Indian PM will arrive since 1973.
