BJP protests in Delhi over Turkman Gate road-rage Death

New Delhi, April 09: The BJP workers clashed with Delhi police on Thursday while they were staging a protest outside chief minister Arvind Kejriwals official residence over Turkman Gate road-rage death.

Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay alleged that the accused in the case are associated with AAP minister Asim Ahmad Khan. Demanding the resignation of the minister, the BJP workers began demonstration.

Upadhyay slammed the AAP government for shifting the blame on Delhi Police and Centre.

"All the people were with the AAP MLA. Their hoarding and posters are there. We did not want to take to the roads. This kind of hooliganism is not the culture of Delhi. So this kind of a minister must give his resignation. Police have arrested all the five accused, it should not be turned towards the Centre. The AAP should probe against those whose photographs are there," said Upadhyay.

"BJP will take to the roads and will not allow this politics of deceit", he further said.

A bike-borne man was beaten to death by the occupants of Hyundai i-20 car after their vehicles collided in Turkman Road area of central Delhi, late on Sunday.  Five men travelling in the car and an accompanying scooter allegedly bludgeoned the 38-year-old man, Mohammed Shehnawaz to death in front of his sons aged 13 and nine, after the car brushed against his motorcycle.
