Red Terror in Malkangiri: 7 Villagers Abducted, No Clue Yet

Malkangiri, April 15: The Maoists created panic by abducting seven people from a village in Malkangiri district of Odisha. However, no clue has been found about their whereabouts yet.

Police have launched search operation to trace the villagers, but nothing is clear so far. The families of the abducted villagers are under trauma and waiting for their return from the captive.

According to reports, the suspected Maoists stormed Malkangiri on late night of Monday and abducted six people including former block chairman of Mathili Trinath Bhumia from Kartanpalli village and another one from Barana village of the district. The villages are located on the Odisha- Chhattisgarh border.

Police suspected that the Daraba division of the CPI (Maoist) was behind the abduction.
