Church Vandalised in Agra, Miscreants insult Mother Mary, Jesus

Agra, April 16: A church in Agra was vandalised by unidentified miscreants creating a disturbing situation in the area. The attackers insulted Mother Mary and Jesus that triggered outrage among the Christian community.

The miscreants vandalised the St Mary's Church in the Pratabpura area of Agra Cantonment in Uttar Pradesh in wee hour. They destroyed four statutes of Mother Mary, put a dog chain on one of the idols and placed the head of child Jesus in the hand of Mother Mary.

The father of the church condemned the attack saying, this hurt the religious sentiments. Many idols were damaged; a notice board and car parked at the premises were also broken. Police have lodged an FIR in this regard.
