Lord Balabhadra Daru identified at Jhankada

Jagatsinghpur, April 17: A week after the Daru for Lord Sudarshan was traced at Gadakhuntunia village located on the outskirt of Bhubaneswar; the holy daru for the idol of Lord Balabhadra was identified at Jhankada in front of the famous temple of Maa Sarala in Jagatsinghpur district.

Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Chief Suresh Mohaptra informed about the location of Daru this morning after the Banajaga team and Daitas told the administration late on Thursday night.

This is the principle of Nabakalebara that the location of each Daru is revealed to the temple administration by the Banajaga team after a gap of seven days.

Following the information, the temple administration rushed to the spot and barricaded the area for the security and protection.

However, huge rush was already seen in the district after one of the team members of Banajaga had disclosed the locations about the Daru of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra.

Earlier, the servitor group had disclosed that the team has found the Daru for Lord Balabhadra at Jhankada near Sarala Temple in the district. However, the temple administration had been refusing to comment on this terming it as “rumours” as this was not officially declared by the Banajaga team. If the rumours are to be believed, the daru for Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra are located in the same district.
