Bail of Jayalalithaa extended in DA Case

New Delhi, April 17: Giving relief to AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case, the Supreme Court on Friday extended her bail till May 12.

On Wednesday, a bench of justices Madan B. Lokur and R. Banumathi of the apex court had delivered a split verdict on a plea of DMK leader K. Anbazhagan seeking to remove special public prosecutor G Bhawani Singh in the disproportionate assets case in the Karnataka high court.

However, the matter has been referred to three judge bench formed by the apex court.
