Dist Admin takes Possession of 2.703 acres of Barabati Land

Cuttack, April 20: In a huge jolt to the Odisha Olympic Association (OOA), the Cuttack administration on Monday took the possession of 2.703 acres of the Barabati land encroached by the OCA.

On the occupied land, the OCA had its building, a playground, a 4-storey building and an under-construction 6-storey building.

After taking the possession of the land, the district administration has served to the OCA and occupants to vacate the premises within 7 days.

The OCA was allotted the 2.703 acres of land by the state government in 1969 on a lease to develop it for the purpose of sports in the state. However, the land was used for other commercial purposes for which the OCA came under scanner.
