Goodbye to JB Patnaik, Cremation today

Bhubaneswar, April 22: Former chief minister of Odisha Janaki Ballav patnaik will take final journey to the crematoria ground today. Hundreds of his fans and supporters rushed to his residence near Shishu Bhawan in the national capital this morning to pay last respect to the great leader.

The mortal body of Patnaik will be taken to his village Rameswar in Khordha district. Later, he will be cremated at Swarga Dwar at around 4 pm in Puri.

Patnaik died leaving his family, friends, and supporters to shed tears forever. He breathed last at a private hospital in Tirupati following chest pain in the wee hours of Tuesday.

He was the pillar in Odisha politics as said by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his condolence message yesterday. He remains immortal in the heart of millions of his fans even after death.

His demise created a vacate space in the state politics during the period when his party Congress is struggling for revival under the state leadership of Prasad Harichandan. He was the guide to his party men. He remained a congressman till the end.
