Masarat shifted to Kot Balwal jail in Jammu

Srinagar, April 23: Jammu and Kashmir separatist leader Masarat Alam was shifted to Kot Balwal jail in Jammu from Budgam jail last night. He was also slapped with the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) for anti-India activities.

Alam was arrested for raising anti-India slogans and waving Pakistan flag at Lal Chowk during a rally that was organised to welcome Hurryat leader Geelani. He was sent to seven-day judicial custody.
