MoU signed for Semiconductor Lab in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar, April 25: A MoU has been signed with Odisha government to set up a semiconductor laboratory here at the cost of Rs 7,98 crore.

The deal was signed between Software Technology Park of India (STPI) Director Manas Panda and Tessolve's President V Veerappan in presence of Information Technology minister Pranab Prakash Das and Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Friday.

The IIIT will provide the land other equipment for setting up the proposed unit.

As per the deal, both the STPI and state government will bear Rs 7 crore on 50:50 proportions. Rest of the amount will be arranged on PPP mode.

While the Bengaluru based Tessolve will maintain and operate the laboratory, the STPI will provide the equipment required for the set up.

This will be second largest lab in India after Bengaluru.
