PM Modi enjoys Delhi Metro Ride

New Delhi, April 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprised all today when he took a metro ride in Delhi to attend a function in Dwarka. He boarded the Airport Express Metro at Dhaula Kuan station in south Delhi and got down at Dwarka Sector 21 station in south-west Delhi.

Modi was accompanied by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during metro ride. He chose metro to avoid rush and causing inconvenience to public on road. He attended the function organised by the Nationa Intelligence Academy at right time.

This is the first time Modi travelled in Delhi metro and enjoyed it. Taking to twitter, he said, "Really enjoyed the ride. Thanks Delhi Metro. Thanks Sreedharan ji!"

E Sreedharan is the former Delhi Metro Rail Corporation chairman. He had pioneered the metro project in Delhi.
