Farmer commits Suicide in Kanpur after Crop Loss

Kanpur, April 27: While the debate is on the increasing number of farmers' suicide in the country, another case was reported from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. A farmer ended life consuming poison after his crop was damaged due to unseasonal rain and hailstorm.

Arvind, the victim, was rushed to a hospital for treatment but he died.

His family members said that the condition of the family was worst and the crop loss added pressure on him for which he took the extreme step.

"Due to rain, his wheat crops were damaged. He has three children. He was very upset that how will he going to take care of his children. He had taken poison and we admitted him to the hospital. He died in the hospital," Victim's relative said.
