Itishree Murder Case: Statement of Accused recorded in Court

Rayagada, April 28: The statement of Netrananda Dandasena, the prime accused in the death of Itishree Pradhan, a lady teacher in Rayagada, has been recorded in the district sessions judge court.

During the grilling in the court yesterday, the accused revealed that he had threatened Itishree to kill, but he denied to have killed her.

He revealed about his association with former Koraput MP Jayaram Pangu in the case.

The CBI, which is investigating the case, will submit the preliminary report in the Supreme Court today.

The sensational murder case had triggered state wide protest. The lady teacher Itishree of Tikiri UP School in Rayagada district was sexually abused and when she complained, she was burnt alive. She died in a Vizag hospital where she was undergoing treatment.
